Summary :
The use of conceptual models in occupational therapy leads to new perspectives in our practice. Nevertheless, in our daily practice and especially in the mental health field, it is not always easy to visualize how a model can be applied in practice. People Motivation is central in occupational therapy intervention and refers to client values such as desire, purposeful activity, self-perception or performance.
Knitting, although it can evoke an ancient practice in psychiatry, is a timeless and active occupation with modern relevance. We will present the use of knitting in practice by referring to the Model of Human Occupation and the flow theory.
