The International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF), created by the World Health Organization, puts particular emphasis on work and employment as components of health and well-being (WHO, 2001). Companies and their partner organisations continue to make efforts towards respecting their obligations in the employment of people living with disability. Professional reintegration, or return to work, for people with disability, is an issue that drives different stakeholders in its analysis, evaluation, adaptation and maintenance. The organization Comète France enables people receiving services from a functional rehabilitation centre to benefit from early intervention regarding reintegration into a mainstream work setting. This article illustrates such a process within a socio-professional integration unit, the UISP Comète Garches, as well as how the rehabilitation team is organized, the work setting and the different systems/bodies that are involved in the maintenance of employment.
