Summary :
For children, play is more than a joyful activity. It is a means through which the child develops and a source of wellbeing. Moreover, play is a specific right of the child that warrants protection and provision, especially for children with disabilities. Occupational therapists have a role in promoting and enabling play for the children. In this opinion piece we ask the question where is play in occupational therapy and consider the interest to expand our area of concern towards play in practice.
