Evidenced based practice competencies are part of occupational therapists’ standards of practice. It raises the issue of how to teach those competencies, essentials to good clinical decisions. What elements should be included into occupational therapy education? The article exposes a literature review on the use of evidenced-based practice by occupational therapists. Pedagogi-cal approach topics while teaching clinicians as well as teaching students are covered by this review. Finally, the article exposes the experience of a competency-based occupational therapy program at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. While approa-ching teaching evidenced-based practice, it has become essential for students to learn detecting clinical situation challenges requiring searching scientific evidence. They will then develop habit of deploying their competencies in that domain
