Summary :
The third paradigm of occupational therapy requires adapting assessments. It involves evaluating occupational performance by observing the skills a person develops or should implement to compensate for a loss (cognitive, motor, sensory, or social) and maintains engagement in meaningful occupations. In this chapter, we present the professional reasoning behind evaluating occupational performance, building on existing international work in this area.
