Summary :
The 2010 curriculum mentions keeping-up-to-date with professional literature as an essential activity for occupational therapists. However, the involvement of occupational therapists practicing in France in this professional requirement is little known. A survey carried out by the ANFE Scientific Committee sought to better understand the reading habits of occupational therapists and their needs regarding publications in occupational therapy. Half of the 712 occupational therapists who responded to the survey report keeping-up-to-date with professional trends but many stress a lack of methodology and availability. The commitment to professional information seeking is increasing with the level of complementary education, especially academic. The demands are very diversified, in coherence with the diversity of occupational therapist professional practices in France. Access to scientific literature in English has been developing since 2010, which broadens professional documentary sources. The topic of evaluation in occupational therapy is suggested for new publications.
